Supply Chain Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Supply Chain Director to join our dynamic team and play a key role in the development of the building components and systems that enable this vision.

As a Supply Chain Director, you will be an integral leader within the operations team, responsible for the development of current and future Samara factory built construction products. You will work closely with architects, structural engineers, factory management and other cross-functional teams to create cutting-edge solutions that leverage practices from high-volume product design to bring high quality homes and products to our customers.

Once you’re here you will:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to achieve continuity of supply, inventory efficiency and continuously lower costs
  • Drive the entire supply chain process from sourcing raw materials, negotiating contracts, creating purchase orders, material planning, collecting import/export documentation, scheduling logistics to deliver a finished product to site.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate bill of materials, engineering change orders, material expedites and new product costing.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Design and deliver to management reporting of data to show trends, insights and inform business decisions
  • Utilize PLM, MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to manage efficient purchasing, adequate inventory levels and ensure timely production.
  • Monitor supplier performance and negotiate contracts to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery
  • Implement best practices in supply chain management to improve operational efficiency.

Experience we value:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement Management positions.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, construction management, logistics, or a related field. Masters preferred.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in construction, off-site(modular) construction manufacturing and/or related fields.
  • Manufacturing experience in Mexico is a plus including clear to build, planning, inventory management, import/export, trade and tax.
  • Strong knowledge of Arena PLM, Netsuite MRP/ERP or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in inventory control techniques, demand planning methodologies, contract terms
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis, 8D and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and develop long term partnerships
